Eleven dedicated volunteers work together throughout the year to organize and make Artarama’s Riverwalk Art Show & Sale happen.  Explains Karen Kubacki, Artarama vice-chair, “The purpose of this show is still twofold.  It is organized to bring a high quality art show to Eagle River, along with the commerce that is a result of many visitors being drawn to the area.   But more importantly, it is still organized, as it was in 1972, to raise funds that are all returned to the community as scholarships, art programs, beautification projects and services.”  Artarama also sponsors and organizes artist-in-residence programs for local schools.  Artarama remains a non-profit organization and is currently involved in a project that its committee members initiated to acquire a large bronze eagle sculpture which will further enhance Eagle River’s downtown area.  Savings set aside by the original 5-member Artarama Committee beginning in 1972 will fund the project.

Artarama remains one of the summer’s most exciting events and a viable source of community-generated charitable funds. There are always new exhibitors and of course some are back year after year.

Enjoy refreshments this year on and around the Riverside Park. Again this year, there will be non-profit groups from the area each providing a number of "finger foods" and beverages so that you can enjoy them while purchasing artwork.

The Eagle River Lions Club will be parking cars and donating revenue to “The Camp for the Blind” in Rosholt, Wisconsin.
